Job Description
Job Title: Tire Servicer Wage/Hour Status: NonExempt
Reports to: Shop Foreman Pay Grade: 5 Pay Grade: 5
Dept. /School: Transportation Days: 227
Supervises:
Primary Purpose: Ensure that the tires on all ECISD vehicles are maintained in a manner to avoid delays of work schedules due to tire problems.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- High School graduate
- GED preferred
- Valid Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (P & S) or the ability to obtain one within one year of hire date.
- State School Bus Driver Certification good driving record pass D.O.T. physical preemployment drug test and background check.
Special Knowledge Skills:
Ability to mount and repair tires. Must safely drive a school bus in all weather and road conditions. Must have the ability to manage communicate and interact with students of all ages in a professional way.
Experience:
Previous experience repairing and mounting tires preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist with carrying out the responsibilities and duties associated with maintaining tires in a safe and efficient district vehicle fleet.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manage bus riders while driving a bus.
Working Conditions:
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent districtwide and statewide travel; occasional prolonged or irregular hours.
