TEMPORARY TEACHER HIRING BONUS FOR DESE LICENSED TEACHERS for new hires through August 31 2025 As we seek to fill our open Teacher positions for the upcoming school year we are offering a $1000 hiring bonus for any teacher we hire with a special education or other relevant DESE license Initial or Professional level. The hiring bonus would be paid via payroll with $500 paid after orientation is completed and then the other $500 paid after the completion of the six month introductory period. Applicants must have a minimum of a Bachelors degree in Education or a related field; Masters degree is strongly preferred. MA DESE Special Education licensure required Moderate or Severe Disabilities and experience working with children with special needs is strongly preferred. For general education positions DESE licensure in that particular area (or license eligible) required and experience working with children with special needs is strongly preferred. Teacher Job Description:Provide and instruct age/grade appropriate lesson evaluation records on all assigned appropriate lesson plans and materials required for lessons in case of absence. Provide appropriate homework for each and correct student with other organizations regarding youth progress as and/or develop appropriate curricular materials in all student evaluation reporting forms as daily for all testing needs of students as prescribed by IEP and advocate for any other testing or service standardized and informal tests appropriate to input for IEP development case management and treatment a rough draft IEP for Team meetings ahead of time and seek appropriate service providers for input in the development of the IEP review and emergency meetings as requested and current with DESE regulations applicable to special education i.e. all scheduled teacher meetings IEP meetings staff meetings and staff in in interventions as the safety of the building; i.e. work on line in are located primarily at our location in Chicopee MA and are full time 52 weeks per year.
