Overview: Prioritize production and manage materials to meet customer demand on a daily basis. As the key liaison between Customer Service Purchasing and Operations the Supply Chain Planner is accountable for driving ontime delivery to our customers.
The areas this position will oversee and be involved with include:
- Utilize Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) system to review planning exceptions generate purchase requisitions and create and maintain production orders in SAP according to the Master Production Schedule (firm planned orders).
- Develop communicate and manage the daily production schedules for Value Streams 2 and 6
- Ensure adequate supply of raw materials and packaging to support the production lines.
- Where necessary provide weekly rolling material forecasts to Purchasing.
- Manage inventory levels to minimize any excess or obsolescence (E&O) risk.
- Manage the WFC Make & Hold replenishment process.
Review forecasted needs for appropriate supplier(s) planning horizon.
Review recommended supplier build quantities with purchasing for pricing.
Authorize supplier to build quantities.
Manage engineering changes or E&O risk on inventory both at WFC & supplier. - Support semiannual budgeting process with 12month rolling materials requirements.
- Track and influence SCP key metrics including but not limited to: packaging inventory levels material shortages and % of less than lead time (LTLT) purchase requisitions schedule changes and schedule attainment.
- As needed attend crossfunctional meetings to serve as a liaison for the SCP department.
Qualifications:
- College preferred Bachelors in Supply Chain Management Logistics or related field.
- 2 3 years in materials planning required. Experience in food processing / confectionary manufacturing preferred. Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience SAP ERP/MRP and bilingual preferred.
