Overview
Job Summary
The split Saw Operator is the process of using a band saw to cut the vertebral column of the carcass to separate into two equal halves. The split saw is responsible for the operation of a saw on a moving platform to split the beef from tailbone through the neck being careful to expose the spinal column of the beef.
Key Responsibilities:
- Saw cattle on hydraulic lift; saw completely through the animal.
- If the animal is tagged with a tag open the saw doors and rinse and sanitize the saw with 180degree water.
- Change saws when needed; separate saws will be used for over 30 and under 30month cattle.
- Follow safety procedures when changing saw blades

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be able to work in a humid hot wet slippery or moving surface at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience/knowledge of manufacturing environment.
- Previous heavy machinery experience in manufacturing environment.
- Previous agriculture production/ beef plant experience.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Be attentive to detail.
- Ability to work safely wear PPE and follow instructions.
- Ability to attend work consistently.
- Always be aware of your surroundings.
- Follow all safety food safety and Sanitary dress procedures.
- Ability to attend work consistently.
- Able to stand for lengthy periods of time.
- Display strong work ethic.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to stand walk or sit; use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. Summary
Americas Heartland Packing is set to open its doors in early 2025. The 775000 sq. ft. greenfield project will include a harvest floor carcass chillers fabrication area rendering further processing area storage coolers freezers and loading docks.
