PAMFPalo Alto Medical Foundation CADPosition Overview:
Responsible for assisting the Physician and Optometrist by gathering data pertaining to the patients visual field and maintaining an environment conducive to the delivery of efficient quality eye care. Provides diagnostic ophthalmic test/assessment procedures to ensure quality care to the patients and support for the Physicians.** Schedule: Monday Friday 8 am 5 pm. **
Job Description:
EDUCATION:
- Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
- HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience.
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
- 1 year of recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge understanding and ability to operate visual fieldtesting equipment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology anatomy and optics.
- Verbal and written communication skills for regular contact with employees patients and patient families; requires tact.
- Organizational skills.
- Basic math aptitude.
- Ability to pay attention to detail.
- Computer/Epic data entry skills to enter patient information.
- Obvious enthusiasm and interest in required duties.
- Ability to stand walk and sit for long periods.
- Ability to work cohesively with others in a flexible and cooperative manner.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of accessible information.

Pay Range is $26.57 to $34.53 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidates experience education skills licensure and certifications department equity training and organizational needs.
