Your responsibilities
As a Business Controller in the Global Finance & GBS Center of Excellence you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing financial operations and performance by supporting local finance teams across one of our key functions Sales & Marketing Products & Innovation Operations & Supply or FP&A. Your key tasks will include streamlining processes planning and forecasting generating insights through reporting and supporting ad hoc requests.
Specifically as a Business Controller you will:
- Monitor and analyze financial performance providing insights and recommendations
- Prepare and present financial reports to finance stakeholders and functional management teams and support followup ad hoc analyses based on the reports
- Support budgeting forecasting and financial planning processes for your respective function
- Collaborate with various departments to drive financial efficiency and cost control
- Support the KPI and targetsetting processes
- Contribute to financial reporting presented to the Executive Management Team and the VELUX Board
- Develop global templates and advanced Excel models to optimize financial planning and reporting processes
- Support Finance Business Partners other finance colleagues and stakeholders in the business functions with ad hoc queries and insights
Your qualifications
Your interest and experience in business controlling combined with your analytical mindset and ability to communicate with stakeholders across the organization will help you succeed in this role. You have a drive to promote optimization and standardization across the business and in how we operate.
We are specifically looking for candidates with:
- A bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field
- Relevant experience as a Business Controller or in a similar role
- Proficient analytical and problemsolving skills
- Skill in enhancing and streamlining crossfunctional processes
- Effective communication presentation and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in financial software and tools
- A professional certification (e.g. CPA CMA) will be an asset
- The ability to work individually and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and accuracy
