FORESTRY & ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT

The Faculty of Forestry and Environmental Management is a Fredericton Campus unit providing forestry and environmental management education programs to undergraduate and graduate students among other activities.

WHAT WE OFFER

Fulltime Continuing Fredericton OnCampus

Standard Work Hours: Mon Fri 7:45 am 4:00 pm 36.25 hours per week (Summer Hours)

Additional Working Conditions:

  • Able to travel throughout the region to promote the Facultys programs.

Salary Range: $47971 $59969 per annum

YOUR FOCUS

Reporting to the Dean the Student Services & Outreach Coordinator supports undergraduate student wellbeing and builds espritducorps (and the reputation of the faculty) among students faculty members alumni and employers. The Coordinators responsibilities include student advising and coordination student/alumni/employer outreach and administrative duties together with the Assistant Dean.

  • Advise undergraduate students in all aspects of the Facultys undergraduate programs. Respond to student inquiries about programs fee payments support services etc.
  • Coordinate firstyear student orientation activities including campus walkabouts field trips trustbuilding exercises etc.
  • Design develop and implement strategies materials and activities (including education modules) that promote the facultys undergraduate programs at high schools colleges other universities education fairs and similar programs.
  • Gather and disseminate information regarding employment opportunities for students. Maintain a job board coordinate employer oncampus visits and interviews with students and assist in the coordination of student internships.
  • Assist in the development of course timetables.
  • Generate degree audits maintain student files and circulate information to students.
  • Communicate with various departments on campus and with other universities regarding program concerns student concerns and courses offered in articulated programs at other institutions.
  • Contribute to and represent the faculty on committees and work groups as required.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelors degree.
  • 3 years of prior experience in outreach relationship building and marketing.

Additional Strengths:

  • Degree in Environmental Management Science or Forestry background considered an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated abilities in presentation and networking
  • Ability to multitask and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Experience with O365.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of people.
