As a BAS Agent at Numble youll play a critical role in providing exceptional bookkeeping and BAS services to our diverse clientele. Youll be responsible for preparing and lodging Business Activity Statements (BAS) managing client accounts and ensuring compliance with Australian taxation laws.
Experience across a range of industries is required. Experience with NotForProfit particularly charitable organisations would be an added bonus.
Key Responsibilities
- BAS/IAS Preparation and Lodgement: Accurately prepare and lodge BAS/IAS for clients in compliance with ATO regulations.
- Client Accounts Management: Maintain and reconcile client accounts using relevant accounting software e.g. Xero MYOB QBO NetSuite.
- Financial Reporting: Generate and analyse financial reports to assist clients in making informed business decisions.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities are compliant with Australian taxation laws and regulations as they pertain to BAS Agent services.
- Client Communication: Regularly communicate with clients to address their financial queries and provide ongoing support.
- Software Utilisation: Expertly use Xero Netsuite MYOB and/or QBO to manage and streamline client accounts.
- Payroll Management: Process payroll for clients including calculating wages superannuation and tax withholdings. Ensure timely and accurate payroll submissions. Maintain accurate employee records including leave entitlements and payroll deductions. Stay uptodate on payroll legislation and ensure all payroll activities comply with current regulations
- 3rd Party Tools: Confidently use ThirdParty Tools such as Deputy Employment Hero Projects Hubdoc SYFT Calxa Fathom and Dext for rostering reporting project costings receipts and workflows.
Qualifications and Experience
- Certification: Registered BAS Agent with the Australian government Tax Practitioners Board (TPB).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping and BAS services in Australia with a strong focus on Xero and MYOB.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Xero MYOB and/or NetSuite and QBO is essential. Familiarity with other accounting software is a plus.
- Knowledge: Indepth understanding of Australian GST and BAS requirements.
- Additional Skills: Experience using thirdparty apps for projects reporting payables workflows rostering and payroll.

- Extra: Advanced Excel skills and experience with NotforProfit organisations would be an advantage
