- Lead and contribute to various design tasks related to transportation projects including bridge replacements roadway widening and the design of intersections and interchanges.
- Take the lead on preparing signing and pavement marking plans.
- Assist in the development of detailed plans estimates and design calculations to ensure project specifications are met.
- Collaborate with team members and other disciplines to achieve project goals and maintain highquality standards.
- Apply knowledge of NCDOT standards and specifications to ensure compliance in all design work.
- Utilize MicroStation GEOPAK OpenRoads Designer and GuideSIGN software for design and drafting tasks.
- Prepare documentation and reports using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation design.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Associates Degree or higher preferred).
- Proficient in MicroStation GEOPAK OpenRoads Designer and GuideSIGN.
- Strong understanding of NCDOT standards and specifications.
- Significant experience with signing and pavement marking on NCDOT and SCDOT projects.
- Excellent problemsolving and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment.
