Job Description
Job Summary
To provide students with a safe attractive comfortable clean and efficient place in which to learn play and develop.
Essential Duties
- Cleans and maintains all boilers and other major equipment.
- Supervises and participates in necessary painting and general repairs to plumbing electrical carpentry and general mechanical areas.
- Replaces broken windows.
- Assists general mechanics in remodeling and renovation work.
- Generally supervises and maintains the school grounds cut grass as needed.
- Assists in snow removal.
- Supervises and participates in the general cleaning and maintenance of the school building.
- Requisitions and receives supplies and equipment and maintains necessary inventories.
- Assumes responsibility for the general security of the building.
- Assumes responsibility for the general fire safety of the building.
- Performs emergency repair or cleaning services as necessary.
- Performs such other duties and assumes such other responsibilities as the Principal and the Supervisor of Maintenance may assign.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge Skills and/or Abilities Required)
High school graduate with additional training in the area of supervision and/or related work experience. Ability to read basic operating instructions and write reports. Demonstrates aptitude for successful completion of the tasks assigned. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the School Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
