Job Summary:
Pacific Scientific (PacSci) located in Hollister CA is in search of an Electrical Test Engineer to work with the New Product Development team in the electronics division. The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years of practical experience in electrical engineering and demonstrate a strong record in testing electronics and technical proficiency. This onsite role demands a dynamic approach to testing troubleshooting documentation and collaboration. The incumbent will be instrumental in maintaining the performance reliability and safety of our electrical and electronic devices products and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute indepth testing and inspection of electrical and electronic devices and systems to ensure adherence to industry standards and PacScis stringent safety and reliability criteria.
- Identify and resolve complex electrical issues utilizing advanced analytical skills thereby reducing downtime and improving product quality.
- Produce detailed and actionable documentation to clearly define product requirements test procedures and maintenance protocols.
- Undertake system evaluations recommend design modifications or equipment repairs based on comprehensive analysis.
- Oversee the manufacturing or construction of electrical systems ensuring adherence to best practices and project timelines.
- Engage in the design development and testing of electronic circuits including various military and aerospace applications.
- Design and implement detailed test plans to ensure that products meet all customer specifications along with functional and safety requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field with consideration for advanced degrees.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in electrical testing or similar engineering roles.
- Proficient with industrystandard engineering software and hardware tools for circuit design analysis and testing.
- Strong coding skills and experience with embedded programming for microcontroller applications a plus.
- Excellent technical documentation and standard operating procedure development abilities.
- Knowledge of MIL/Aero/Space/Industrial standards for functional and operational safety.
- Effective communication and problemsolving skills.
