Job Description

Position:Speech and Language Pathologist Location:Stacy Middle SchoolSchedule:School Year contingent on funding approvalSalary:Per Teachers ContractTo Start:August 25 2025 (plus 2 mentoring days prior to start date 8/198/20)Qualifications:MA DOE Certification in Speech/Hearing and Language DisordersKnowledge of Special Education process and regulationsExperience with providing Speech and Language services in a public school settingBilingual preferredStrong ability to relate and work with the middle school learnerAbility to incorporate a variety of learning activities/ experiences to inspire motivate and challenge middle school studentsExcellent technology skillsSEI training preferredExperience working with content colleagues on interdisciplinary initiativesA positive person willing to become involved in the academic and social aspects of school life to support student success school spirit and school climate and cultureA selfreflective active learner capable of interactive dialogue with all members of the school communityRespect for diversityDuties:Provide individual small group and classroom instructionParticipate in the IEP Team process in accordance with required timelines and regulationsCollaborate with staff regarding augmentative communication devicesAdminister/ interpret a variety of diagnostic instrumentsWrite and input progress reports measurable goals and objectivesConsult with parentsConsult with and support inclusion staff Liaison for students on caseload
