Evening Cook Position at Aston Park (LongTerm Care Facility)
Are you passionate about culinary arts and looking to make a meaningful impact Aston Park is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our team at a longterm care facility in Asheville NC. If you have a strong understanding of kitchen operations and a love for creating delicious meals we want to hear from you!
Job Summary
As an Evening Cook you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. You will ensure a safe and efficient kitchen environment while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Details
- Pay range: $17 $19 per hour
- Work times: 11:00am 7:30pm with a 30minute meal break
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu plans.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and ensure timely meal preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Adapt recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions or special requests from guests.
Qualifications
Skills
- Proficient in food preparation techniques with experience in a restaurant or food service environment.
- Strong understanding of menu planning food handling and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other kitchen staff.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods ingredients equipment and procedures within the food industry.
