Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for recording live races replaying results to judges or stewards and perform simulcasting duties as needed during live racing.

DIRECTLY SUPERVISES: None

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Record all cameras replay races as needed run audio and simulcasting run commercials and assist with live production as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE:

Oneyear certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training in television broadcasting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SOCIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Must have an outgoing energetic and enthusiastic attitude. Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with our guests.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Must have basic PC knowledge. Ability to use such programs as: Excel Word Photoshop Sorenson squeeze and Nero. Must have the ability to think and react quickly and to initiate a change in program at any given moment.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

REQUIRED PERSONAL COMPETENCIES:

Responsible for promoting a positive influence in the community and participating in companysponsored events. WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to work in high precarious places in outdoor weather conditions and will have some risk of electrical shock and will experience moderate levels of noise.

The employee must be able to sit stand reach and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The employee will be required at times to stoop kneel crouch or crawl. and balance. The employee must have clear vision at distances of 20 inches and up to 20 feet and is required to have color vision peripheral vision good depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

CERTIFICATIONS LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:

Must be able to obtain and maintain an Indiana Horse Racing Commission license.
