The Project
Two CIMIC Group companies UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the 140km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project.
HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australias eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australias largest energy infrastructure projects with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure.
The HumeLink West scope of works worth $1.4bn includes delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning 140kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0.
Your Opportunity
We are seeking a driven and experienced Superintendent to manage the onsite operations of the project including safety environment quality productivity and cost. This role includes:
- Overseeing daily site operations related to vertical construction and maintain progress in a timely manner
- Ensuring subcontractors deliver required outputs in accordance with agreed specifications.
- Sourcing and allocating the appropriate and costefficient resources necessary for key project deliverables
- Monitor construction quality and address defects or nonconformance as needed
- Ensure all works are controlled through approved inspection and test plans
- Coordinate with the supervisors to ensure all work pack briefings are completed prior to starting site activities
Our minimum requirements for this role are:
- Minimum 12 years relevant experience with a minimum 2 years experience as a Senior Supervisor
- Managed logistics and applying principles of construction to deliver works in accordance with Scope of Works Technical Criteria (SWTC)
- Managed others in conducting SHEQ process and procedures and ensure compliance
- Ability to manage multiple trades and deliver works to program
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve issues and manage conflict effectively
