Job Description

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 2year college degree in any area or 60 hours of college work or passing score on the Paraprofessional exam required

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Experience in working with children with special needs or ABA practices preferred

Experience with working students on the autism spectrum

Experience working with appropriate age students preferred

Cooperative able to work with supervising teachers and other staff members

Skill in interpersonal relations with pupils parents teachers staff and the general public

Ability to fulfill the dexterity and physical requirements of the work and effectively attendto special needs of exceptional children

Outstanding references from current and former supervisors

Satisfactory SLED (SC Law Enforcement Division) report

Salary Range: Support 3

Length of Contract: 185 days/7.5

Starting Date: Immendiately upon selection

College transcripts three references and a copy of appropriate credentials should also be submitted during the application process.

Prior to employment the District will request a criminal record history check for past action of crimes. For this reason information about date of birth gender and race is requested as a part of the application process.
