Teacher Job Description

Preferred Qualifications (not required but highly valued):

Demonstrated playing proficiency in a variety of wind and percussion instruments (ideally Level IV or higher)
Proficiency in guitar and/or piano
Active membership or involvement in the Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association (VBODA)
Marching band and/or drum corps experience as a performer and/or instructor
Experience in musical composition and/or arranging
Familiarity with musical theatre and jazz performance
Handson experience with professional sound equipment including gear selection setup and live audio mixing
Proven experience in fundraising at the secondary or program level
