Job Description

Fleet Maintenance 2

Position Focus

Join our Parks Department as a crucial member of the Maintenance Fleet team! In this role youll play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our Park Districts diverse fleet of all Park Districtowned vehicles and landscaping equipment. Your expertise will be key in performing preventative maintenance and maintaining the high standards our community expects. This is a fulltime fully benefited nonexempt position with opportunities for overtime as needed. If youre passionate about keeping our parks and recreational facilities in top shape we want to hear from you!

Minimum Requirements

Graduate from vocational school supplemented by an approved apprenticeship or training in mechanical repair
A.S.E. certification preferred or acquired within two (2) years of employment
Minimum of five (5) or more years of demonstrated success as a mechanic or any equivalent combination of education experience and training
Must provide own tools

The hourly rate for this position is $27.26/hour to $38.16/hour dependent on qualifications. This position is MondayFriday 6:30 a.m. 3:00 p.m.

Employment contingent upon successful criminal background check preemployment drug screen and physical. Palatine Park District participates in the Department of Transportation random drug and alcohol testing program.
