Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

The Aircraft Parts Cleaner is responsible for cleaning Turbine engine components for PWC PT6 Engines ensuring they are prepared for inspection and further processing.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Functions:

Clean metal parts to remove all foreign materials and prepare them for inspection.

Inspect parts for any defects.

Manually and mechanically dry parts after cleaning.

Move loaded carts into and out of the cleaning area.

Maintain the cleaning system including hoses spray guns and tanks.

Coordinate component flow with other departments.

Perform all other duties as requested by management.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking bending and reaching to shoulder level. Requires occasional squatting lifting carrying pushing or pulling weight up to 50 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eyehand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Equipment Operated: Operate spray guns and troubleshoot equipment problems.

Work Location: Aviation Welding Technologies 73 Commerce Drive Uxbridge MA 01569

Protective Equipment Required: Safety Glasses Hearing Protection Rubber Gloves Liquideproof apron and other protective items as needed.

Potential Hazards: Exposure to materials identified on Material Safety Data Sheets.

Education/Training:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Technical Airframe/Powerplant training through trade school or military aircraft maintenance programs is recommended but not required.

Experience: related experience in aviation maintenance aviation manufacturing or a related field preferred but not required.

Other: Additional duties may be assigned in role to support production personnel or projects.
