Essential Functions:
The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for delivering quality medical care and clinical services ina manner that adheres to local federal and state regulatory requirements agency polices andremains in compliance with all COMAR standards The Nurse Practitioner will provide directevaluative and psychiatric services to patients of the agency. This position supports all BTSTOMHC locations (Baltimore City Washington County PG County). The Nurse Practitionerspecifically has final responsibility for the following:
1. Prescribe direct and administer psychotherapeutic treatment or medications to patients totreat mental emotional or behavioral disorders.
2. Evaluate assess and diagnose patients to determine appropriate eligibility.
3. Examine conduct or order laboratory or diagnostic tests on patients to provide information ongeneral physical condition and mentaldisorders and determine or monitor medication levels asneeded.
4. Collaborate with other physicians psychologists clinicians psychiatric nurses or otherprofessionals to discuss treatment plans and progress.
5. Ensure that patient medical information and records are obtained and maintained includingrecord request are submitted as appropriate and needed from other medical providers andsocial or medical history is obtained from patients relatives or other professionals.
6. Ensure timely and satisfactory documentation of all patient treatment efforts and progresswhich adheres to standards and regulations as set forth by the agency and all local state andfederal regulation agencies the respective licensing board and COMAR.
7. Advise and inform parents guardians relatives and significant others of patients Conditionsand treatment.
8. Advise and inform patients guardians relatives and significant others of indications for sideeffects of contraindications and any other important information related to medicationprescribed for a patient.
9. Work with the Medical Director to plan for emergency and back up coverage services afterhours for patients with medication related crisis.
10. Coordinate and act as a liaison with outside agencies as needed regarding the medical care ofthe clients and the professional growth of the agency
11. Attend all required treatment team or administrative meetings as needed to provide inputrecommendations and consultation
duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION AND COORDINATION OF SERVICES
The Nurse Practitioner reports directly to the Medical Director and collaborates regularlywith other professionals on interdisciplinary teams regarding patient care. The NursePractitioner may also act as an agency liaison in working in collaboration with communityproviders and regulatory agencies.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities: The Therapist/Clinician must have the following experience knowledge or abilities:
Travel Requirement:All BTST employees must have reliable transportation to support all four locations through Maryland (Baltimore City Frederick County PG County Washington County). Travel between sites may be required.Currently Providing Telehealth Services.
Perks:
Education and Experience:Nurse Practitioner license issued by or valid in the state of Maryland and credentialed to provide psychiatric services for the agency. Education and Experience as required by the credentialing process.
