Job Description:

Are you a data enthusiast with a knack for ensuring information integrity and driving strategic decisionmaking Do you thrive in a collaborative environment guiding business teams to harness the power of wellgoverned data If so we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Data Steward.

In this pivotal role youll be at the forefront of establishing and maintaining robust data governance practices across the Transformation Enablement and Customer Experience (TECE) Governance & Control (G&C) function. As a designated Data Steward youll not only execute key data governance activities but also empower your business partners to understand and manage their critical data assets effectively. Youll be instrumental in ensuring our data adheres to enterprise policies standards and strategies ultimately contributing to better insights reduced risk and improved operational efficiency.

What Youll Do:

  • Guide business teams in identifying critical data elements establishing clear metadata management and implementing effective data quality practices.

  • Provide oversight and guidance on data retention and disposition ensuring compliance and maximizing data value.

  • Partner closely with technology and architecture teams to implement data governance frameworks and resolve datarelated challenges.

  • Act as a subject matter expert analyzing data issues developing remediation plans and driving changes through various data councils and forums.

  • Provide expert advice and support to management and teams on data governance best practices industry trends and internal policies.

  • Drive the implementation of data governance initiatives aligned with the overall enterprise data strategy.

  • Oversee a range of data governance activities requiring collaboration across multiple business areas.

  • Facilitate the integrated implementation of data policies processes and procedures across functional teams.

  • Provide data governance expertise to projects and initiatives participating in the design testing and implementation of datacentric solutions.

  • Actively participate in Segment Data Council meetings and help identify business data owners and SMEs.

  • Facilitate training and communication to build data governance and data management awareness within the line of business.

  • Steward data in accordance with enterprise data policies standards and strategies.

  • Adhere to enterprise frameworks and methodologies ensuring programs and practices meet business needs and regulatory requirements.

  • Exercise discretion in handling sensitive information and escalate issues appropriately.

  • Monitor service levels identify opportunities for process optimization and implement improvements.

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across business lines and control functions.

  • Keep abreast of emerging data trends regulatory changes and potential impacts.

  • Support effective processes aligned with risk appetite.

  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • Provide thought leadership and participate in knowledge transfer within the team.

  • Engage in personal performance management and development activities.

  • Keep stakeholders informed about project progress and relevant information.

  • Contribute to the development of team skills and capabilities.

  • Represent our business area and the bank professionally.

What Youll Bring:

  • 5 years of relevant experience in data governance data management or a related field.

  • Undergraduate degree or technical certificate.

  • Deep understanding of data governance principles practices and methodologies.

  • Proven ability to provide guidance and oversight on metadata management data quality and data lifecycle management.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.

  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills to address complex data issues.

  • Experience leading or contributing to datarelated projects and initiatives.

  • Familiarity with relevant data governance tools and technologies (a plus).

  • A proactive and resultsoriented approach.

  • A commitment to maintaining data integrity and security.
