Role description:
We are seeking an Intermediate Architectural Technologist to join our Industrial Architecture Group. The ideal candidate will bring strong Revit and AutoCAD skills to support major infrastructure transit and industrial projects both current and future. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative team environment that values cooperation attention to detail adherence to company standards and effective communication to execute project design work successfully.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Development: Prepare architectural models and working drawings following company standards using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Coordination: Work closely with civil structural mechanical and electrical disciplines to ensure seamless integration of architectural designs.
- Presentations and Documentation: Produce design development presentations and detailed construction working drawing packages.
- Project Submissions: Assist in preparing submission packages under the guidance of architects or project leaders to meet project timelines.
- Code Compliance: Develop detailed drawings and designs in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Contract Administration: Support tasks such as shop drawing reviews and responses to RFIs (Requests for Information).
- Project Management: Manage workload and budgets required to complete assigned tasks effectively.
- Collaboration: Liaise closely with architects job captains and other designers for successful project execution.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist focusing on infrastructure transit or other complex projects.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code (OBC) and construction detailing.
- Familiarity with MS Office MS SharePoint Adobe Acrobat and Bluebeam.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Skills and Assets:
- Local project experience is considered an asset.
- Registration with the AATO or OAAAS is an advantage.
- Experience with Microstation would be beneficial.
