About the Role

Were currently looking for a reliable and motivated Kitchenhand to support our residential service at Ngulla Mia. In this handson role youll help create a clean safe and welcoming dining experience for our residents by assisting in the preparation of meals and maintaining the kitchen and dining areas to a high standard.

Reporting to the Chef you will:

• Prepare weekend evening meals according to clear instructions
• Maintain the cleanliness of a commercial kitchen and dining area
• Ensure safe food handling hygiene and storage practices
• Support catering for small functions and residential events
• Promote a safe respectful and positive environment for residents and staff

About You

To be considered for this role you will need to have;

Qualifications and Certificates

• Previous experience as a Kitchenhand or in a similar role
• Current National Police Clearance Certificate(no older than six months)
• A valid First Aid and CPR Certificate (HLTAID011 Provide First Aid HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
• A current working with Children Check

• A valid Drivers licence

Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organisation and time management skills

Desirable

• Lived experience of mental health recovery or as family members of people with a lived experience of recovery is desirable

Attitude

• Positive attitude towards people experiencing mental distress.
• The ability to live RW values in all workplace tasks and interactions.
• Proactive individual who is enthusiastic and committed to upholding RW values and principles

This role is located in Perth near Royal Perth. It is a parttime role offering 32 hours over 4 weeks. It is working every weekend.
