Job Description

Leidos has an immediate opening for a Program Scheduler to support our Hypersonics Portfolio within the Aerospace Systems Business Area of the Leidos Defense Systems Sector.

This exciting role provides direct scheduling leadership and contribution to critical programs and related portfolios of work. This position will reside at our MidCity campus in Huntsville Alabama where you will be working with various production & manufacturing leads Integrated Product Teams key program stakeholders and an EVMS support Team; to improve program planning and execution while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company policy and procedures.

The Program Scheduler position will be an integral part of the larger enterprisewide Leidos Corporate Earned Value Management (EVM) Center of Excellence (COE) a teamleading and executing the core responsibilities of scheduling planning EVMS the associated infrastructure and tools implementations training and surveillance for Leidos.

Primary Responsibilities.

  • Responsible for applying scheduling theory/practice to develop the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and related artifacts in compliance with applicable standards and policies such as EVM standard EIA748 and industry best practices (e.g. PASEG NDIA) in alignment with the mission of the EVM COE and in support of programs.
  • Requires understanding of project scheduling using MS Project program management and Earned Value Management knowledge
  • Responsible for implementing practices to align the time phasing and plans for resources with the IMS to provide an integrated technical schedule and resource / cost baseline and forecast/ ETC for programs
  • Ability to create whatif/impact scenarios within the schedule that inform program leadership
  • Serves as a scheduling teammate in assisting programs with issue identification & resolution solutions
  • Adhere to program scheduling business rhythms & best practices
  • Develop scheduling artifacts to meet contractual/project requirements
  • Monitor analyze and report performance against baseline schedules to ensure that contractual cost and schedule objectives are met.
  • Provides scheduling support to EVM COE and programs for internal and external audits reviews and application of resulting corrective actions.

Basic Qualifications.

  • Typically requires a BA degree and 4 8 years of prior relevant experience
  • Must have experience using Microsoft Project scheduling software
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Must possess a working level understanding of scheduling theory including:
    • schedule status processes
    • schedule health assessment (e.g. 14Point Analysis)
    • resource loading/management
    • cost and schedule integration
    • baseline change control processes
    • schedule execution metrics (BEI CEI CPLI SV SPI etc.)
    • Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA)/Monte Carlo Analysis and tools
    • Critical Path Method (CPM) and Margin/Float management

Preferred Qualifications.

  • Experience in a Manufacturing/Production/Prototyping environment
  • Use of Structured Solutions Inc. (SSI) Tools for Microsoft Project
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Scheduling Professional (SP) certification
  • Experience w/ Milestones Professional
  • Utilization of MS Project Macros

Pay Range:

Pay Range $63700.00 $115150.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
