Job Description
The Country Club of Buffalo is currently looking to add seasonal bartenders to our current beverage team. Bartending at The Country Club of Buffalo is an important role in the Food and Beverage experience. As a bartender you will be responsible for making members and their guests feel welcomed taking care of them in a timely manner and always providing exceptional service.
We provide our bartenders with uniform pieces lunch/dinner served daily monthly incentive program yearly bonus employee golf amongst many other employee incentives. If you enjoy working as a team a positive and upbeat work atmosphere and keeping busy this is the place for you!
BARTENDER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet members by name in a timely manner upon their arrival to the bar.
- Mix garnish and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks according to member specifications.
- Prepare drinks for front of house team members who are serving and cocktailing.
- Work private parties when needed; such as weddings showers dinner parties etc.
- Be able to recommend specialty cocktails and wines.
- Stock bar appropriately prior to service according to volume.
- Make bar manager aware when items need to be reordered.
- Pass along feedback from members on their preferences.
- Track and ring in all drinks appropriately.
- Responsible for the safe service of alcohol.
- Must maintain a clean work space.

Club History:
The Country Club of Buffalo is the premier country club in Western New York. The Club is rich in tradition and heritage with many legacy families enjoying membership for generations. The Membership has strong respect and admiration for our employees and considers them like family. The Club enjoys a strong history of employment stability; many employees and managers have multiple decades of tenure at the Country Club.
The Country Club of Buffalo features a challenging Donald Ross designed golf course which is consistently ranked and recognized nationally. The Clubs amenities include golf tennis swimming trap skeet fivestand and brushwalk sport shooting six overnight guest rooms and paddle tennis. The Duane Lyman designed Clubhouse encompasses 55000 square feet featuring stately living rooms three dining rooms and various private party rooms. The Clubs revenues are approximately $9 million annually including $3 million in food and beverage.
BARTENDER REQUIREMENTS:
- Upbeat/friendly personality
- Ability to work well with others
- 12 years previous bartending experience required
- High attention to detail
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Lift up to 50lbs
