Job Title: Personal Lines Customer Service Representative
Job Summary:
This role is responsible for providing daytoday service and administrative support for personal lines insurance accounts. The position involves direct interaction with customers agents and carriers to address policy servicing needs process documentation and ensure efficient file and account management.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist inoffice clients during business hours (Monday through Friday)
- Follow up with customers on policy notices and requests for additional information
- Generate and process weekly renewal and lapse prevention reports
- Handle incoming insurance carrier claim reports and process accordingly
- Process endorsements cancellations and related documentation received via mail email or fax
- Maintain filing system for active cancelled and reactivated policy files
- Provide general support to management with ad hoc administrative tasks
- Respond to lender requests regarding coverage verification or policy changes
- Assist customers with payment processing or confirming payment status
- Manage change of address requests within the policys current state
- Fulfill client requests for ID cards declarations pages and other documents
- Support referring agents with documentation and policy servicing
- Process policy rewrite and change requests including adding or removing vehicles or units
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Previous customer service experience in personal lines insurance preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fastpaced environment
- Proficiency with standard office technology (email fax phone systems)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with major carriers (e.g. Safeco Progressive etc.) a plus
