Senior Manager Merchandise Planning
As the Senior Manager Merchandise Planning youll play a critical role in establishing how planning drives product and inventory decisions across the business. This is a rare opportunity to build processes introduce new ways of working and influence crossfunctional teams especially Merchandising who are engaging with Planning in a formalized way for the first time.
This role requires someone whos not only highly skilled in financial planning and data interpretation but also excited by the challenge of change management. Youll be a key business partner to crossfunctional stakeholders especially the Merchandising team providing insight structure and recommendations to help them make more informed strategic decisions.

What youll do
- Develop merchandise financial plans which optimize product category sales financial margin and inventory goals.
- Manage the open to buy (OTB) process (part of the sales and operations planning process) that budgets for inventory purchases of both carryover and new products.
- Accountable for delivering against key business metrics such as sales gross margin sellthrough inventory turn and weeks of supply.
- Responsible for optimizing inventory investment and driving ROI across product categories and channels.
- Be the focal point for weekly monthly and quarterly sales reporting developing tailored reporting for senior leadership and the merchandising finance supply chain retail sales and digital teams.
- Develop and deliver performance analysis across the business that measures achievement of sales margin and inventory plans.
- Influence key stakeholders by delivering insights and recommendations that support strategic product and investment decisions.
- Collaborate crossfunctionally with Product Development Merchandising Finance Retail and Supply Chain teams to ensure cohesive business strategies and product execution.
- Support the buy review process for new products with forecasting and analysis including halo and cannibalization estimates required for inventory investment and store distribution decisions.
- Support the forecasting for carryover and new product launches and new store openings.
What youll bring to the team
5 years of experience in retail planning buying or retail business analytics ideally in a highgrowth or multichannel environment.
A strong understanding of retail financial metrics and inventory management principles.
Experience partnering with Merchandising or Buying teams and bringing structure to decisionmaking in environments that are less processdriven.
Strategic thinking and the ability to distill complex data into clear actionable insights.
Comfort navigating ambiguity and change with a proactive solutionsoriented mindset.
Excellent communication skills especially in influencing crossfunctional stakeholders and presenting to leadership.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and business intelligence tools.
A Bachelors degree in a relevant field (Business Merchandising Finance etc.).

At Mejuri we embrace a hybrid working environment and support our corporate employees to be successful whether they are at home or in the office. The primary purpose of our offices is to drive collaboration and deepen relationships with one another.
This position requires in office work 3 days a week and remote work 2 days a week. Our office is located at 60 Bloor Street W Toronto.
