Job Description
The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Disability Employment and Transitions Division Vocational Rehabilitation Services Bureau in Butte Montana.
Do you love working with people and have a passion for helping those with disabilities This position provides guidance and counseling to individuals with disabilities in achieving employment outcomes. Responsibilities include developing individual rehabilitation plans counseling consumers on job and career development goals providing onsite job coaching or assistive devices approving purchasing and monitoring the quality of goods and services and consulting and coaching Workforce partners community rehabilitation providers businesses and other stakeholders on serving individuals with disabilities.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity:
- Knowledge of psychosocial assessment occupational placement and vocational rehabilitation counseling.
- Knowledge of medical and psychiatric conditions in relation to the rehabilitation process.
- Knowledge of counseling theories techniques and applications.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to be flexible and balance between literal adherence to rules and the use of policies as a guide. Does not look to protect the rule but rather uses the rules to increase engagement.
Meet minimum qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a field of study reasonably related to vocational rehabilitation counseling disability studies human services business administration special education psychology or communications or another field that reasonably prepares individuals to work with consumers and employers.
- One year of experience in rehabilitation counseling career counseling or human services.
- Other combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a casebycase basis.

Additional Information
This position may be eligible for partial telework within the state of Montana. Specific conditions will be provided by the supervisor and must adhere to state policy.
