Job Description

SUMMARY
Required Qualifications:
- Previous successful coaching experience
- Commitment to professional growth
- Ability to accept responsibilities outside the team as they relate to the school and community
- Ability to handle multitude of varying and complex issues
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- MIAA Certified coach; (or certifiable)
- NF Fundamentals of coaching course
- First Aid CPR certification
- NF Sport Specific course or equivalent license
- CORI and SORI
- Has knowledge and background in the assigned sport.
- Education background desirable
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (Not Limited To):
- Attends all practices and games
- Complies with school and MIAA policies and regulations
- Complies with school and Conference/League policies and regulations
- Works cooperatively with the school staff
- Cooperates with Assistant Athletic Director and the head coach to submit rosters equipment lists and bus lists
- Relates positively to parents and other community representatives
- Completes required records and reports with promptness and accuracy
- Assumes responsibility for care of equipment and facilities
- Assumes responsibility for a safe environment for student athletes
- Models positive behaviors especially with regard to sportsmanship and the alcohol tobacco and drug rules
- Meets with the head coach for an evaluation at the end of the season
- Maintains and inventories all equipment and supplies
- Consistent reliable and punctual attendance is essential for supervision and instruction of the students
- Responsible for implementing other jobrelated duties as needed
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Work Environment:
- Majority of work is performed in a school/classroom environment. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job the coach is frequently required to walk stand sit talk and hear. The coach is regularly required to bend stoop crouch and/or kneel. The teacher is occasionally required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Must have sufficient mobility to navigate within a large school building.
