SENIOR FINANCIAL COORDINATOR Engineering will be responsible for oversight of financial operations for the Hood Pediatric Innovation Hub including managing budgets aiding in the development of funding proposals for projects ensuring financial compliance and efficiency throughout the projects lifecycle. The role ensures the Hood Pediatric Innovation Hub complies regarding administration/financial activities. Specific duties include managing sponsored program administration; overseeing the general budget for the Hood Pediatric Innovation Hub; handling complex journal voucher issues; developing budgets; providing analysis of financial scenarios; developing and proposing short and longterm financial management strategies budget scenarios reports and projections as required; and preparing monthly quarterly annual and semiannual budget reports budget forecasts and financial analyses.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: Bachelors degree and a minimum of three years of progressive experience in sponsored financial administration/accounting or related field; experience in academic programs and administration; diligence; excellent organizational skills; attention to detail; and robust analytical and communications skills; discretion and tact; ability to quickly meet short turnaround times; proven customer service skills and ability to manage competing priorities and perform handson work in a teambased environment; ability to learn changing technologies related to grants and contracts management; broad understanding of Cognos Reports; proven project management and design solution skills; experience being a resource for others; and advanced knowledge of Excel. PREFERRED: Knowledge of and experience with MIT financial systems and sponsored accounting; knowledge of SAP or similar accounting package; and experience with Cognos or Kuali Coeus. Job #249487
