Salary Range (Depending on Years of Experience) $80080.00 $108492.00

Responsibilities
BSW Rehab at Dallas N. Washington Ave is seeking a fulltime Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in an adult OP setting. The ideal candidate must be a Certified Hand Therapist and have a desire to train and mentor within our AOTA Hand Fellowship program. The candidate will collaborate with the OT and PT teams inhouse and have a desire for mentoring other OTs across the company. Experience and proficiency with splinting skills would be required. We primarily treat orthopedic injuries and conditions but also some highlevel neurologic conditions on occasion. Situated on the campus of a level1 trauma center we frequently see multitrauma patients tendon transfers/reconstructions traumatic amputees as well as nerve grafts. We are seeking a candidate with strong interpersonal skills and a desire to collaborate current relationships with our established as well as new and potential referral sources.
- Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment
- Patient Case Load Average: 810 patients a day
- Timely and accurate documentation using Therapy Source
- Interpreting assessment/diagnostic data including medical notes and surgery reports
- Ensuring medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately
- Promoting continuous quality improvement
- Instructing and counseling patients/families as needed
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Successful completion of those educational requirements as mandated for state licensure or eligibility for a license in Occupational Therapy
- Current State licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of practice
- Hand Therapy Certification
- CardioPulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required
- Ability to work 40 hours per week with occasional late or early shifts to accommodate patients
