Job Description

Westfield Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for anticipated openings.JOB SUMMARYGenerally the shop assistant shall take directions from the manufacturing instructors and assist students with instruction and handson the direction of the vocational teacher assist students with hands on learning activities including:

Following instructions.
Reading shop manuals and job specifications.
Interpreting schematic drawings.
Completion of shop assignments to trade standards.
Assist shop instructor to maintain safety procedures in shop environment.
Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules administrative regulations and school committee policies.
Any other duties as assigned by the superintendent or his/her designee.

REPORTS TO: Building PrincipalTerms of employment will be in accordance with the Westfield Public Schools Unit D on this job will be evaluated in accordance with the Westfield School Committee policy on evaluation.This position subject to funding
