Job Description

ENL Laboratory

Compensation range:

$22.08 $28.26

Your rate of pay will be based on applicable experience

Shift: Nights Shift length: 10 Hours
Days off: Variable
Hours per pay period: 80

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lab Assistant I (CPT I) collects blood samples from patients for laboratory testing. They routinely perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Desired:

College science courses

Previous laboratory experience

LICENSES / CERTIFICATION:

Minimum:

Current Phlebotomy Certificate CPT I issued by the California Department of Public Health.

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Must be able to follow instructions work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment. Basic computer skills. Must be aware of chemical hygiene protocols and handling requirements of biohazard materials. Must know and follow all universal precautions and be familiar with blood drawing safety devices. Organizational and multitasking skills are essential. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
