Systems Desktop Support ManagerWhat does a successful Systems Desktop Support Manager do at Fiserv
As part of Fiserv Technology Services you will be responsible for managing IT support for Fiservs production floor endpoints used to produce product for Fiserv Clients. Technologies include PC and Print Systems within manufacturing plants and their associated applications. Duties include managing IT service levels leading IT staff leading project deliverables and developing programs to drive efficiency of services. To succeed in this role you will combine your IT leadership troubleshooting and communication skills to build strong working relationships with Fiserv executives and associates to deliver superior IT support.
What will you do:
- Manage Field Support Desktop Engineers organizing departmental resources to execute daytoday delivery of the service catalog within operational guidelines.
- Leverage IT background to support PC and Print endpoints across numerous manufacturing plants.
- Use understanding of IT systems management tools Active Directory and network technologies to troubleshoot and lead incident management.
- Work closely with Output Solutions architects technical engineers and business operation leaders to support their needs and projects.
- Oversee project resource management and project task deliverables.
- Participate in Risk Management affecting endpoints including audit response and remediation.
- Lead department programs to drive efficiency in processes and improvement of services. Defines reviews approves implements support standards policies and procedures.
- Manage activities of staff (i.e. hires trains coaches appraises rewards motivates disciplines etc.).
What you will need to have:
- 5 years of experience in a technical support position providing endpoint support.
- 3 years of experience building deploying and troubleshooting PC equipment in a corporate environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time lifting (up to 40 lbs) & crouching (beneath desks/machines).
- High School/GED Diploma.
What would be great to have:
- combination of education work or military experience.
- Previous information technology management experience.
- Printer maintenance experience a plus.
- Bachelors degree in computer science information systems or a related field or an equivalent.
Important info about this role:
- In order to be considered you must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Domestic Travel is required to various Fiserv manufacturing facilities (25%).
