Purpose: The Senior Project Engineer alongside project management team and superintendent
help lead the daytoday management of construction activities for designated projects to
ensure project goals and objectives are accomplished.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the coordination of submittals and maintain the submittal log
Ensure timely review of submittals and shop drawings
Lead the maintenance of RFI log and respond to pertinent project questions
Monitor production on selfperformed work and help ensure production goals are met
Collaborate with Superintendents and assist in the management of subcontractors
Work closely with safety group to ensure applicable safety programs are upheld
Monitor project labor and equipment as needed
Prepare status reports participate in status meetings and develop meeting minutes
Update and maintain asbuilt drawings
Support Project Manager on monthly profit projections
Assist in the development of client relationships
Mentor and guide project engineers on designated projects as needed
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or related field required.
46 years of experience in commercial construction.Relevant experience supporting $10 million projects from conception through completion.
Ability to read and interpret drawings.
Experience with highway/roadway is desirable.
Ability to lead by example and mentor others
Demonstrated knowledge of updated construction practices.
A high degree of integrity.
Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
Ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
Success factors include being a selfstarter strong work ethic team player time
management and organized.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and P6; Vista experience a plus but not required.

Work is normally performed in a typical office environment.
The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Limited exposure to physical risk.
Noise level in the office environment is usually quiet.
While performing the duties of this role employee will be required to sit talk and hear.
