Job Description

Job Role: Architectural Technologist

Location: Manchester

Salary: DOE ()


Aztrum is proud to be working with a respected awardwinning architectural practice delivering nationally recognized design solutions. Due to increased demand they are seeking a motivated and experienced Architectural Technologist to join their growing team. This fulltime permanent role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful projects focused on creating accessible homes from early design stages through to onsite delivery. The work is varied rewarding and offers a real chance to make a lasting difference in peoples lives.


Key Responsibilities for Architectural Technologist:

  • Should be located within a commutable distance with fulltime office attendance required during the initial 36 month probationary period to support team integration and systems training.
  • Excellent communication and clientfacing skills are essential along with the ability to manage project expectations effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in contract administration and running projects with a strong working knowledge of RIBA stages and JCT contracts.
  • Solid technical expertise in building design detailing and construction methods is required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit is preferred though training can be provided; must be willing to assist with drawing packages and travel for siterelated work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills essential with experience in clientfacing roles and managing project expectations.


Key Responsibilities for Architectural Technologist:

  • Applicants must already reside in the UK; we cannot consider those planning to relocate ahead of this role.
  • Ideally located within commuting distance
  • Holds (or is working towards) full membership of CIAT RICS or CIOB with an accredited degree or HNC/HND in Building Surveying Architectural Technology Construction or the Built Environment.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software is preferred; must be able to interpret technical drawings and prepare schedules of work/specifications.
  • Capable of working independently maintaining project momentum and managing client expectations through clear consistent communication.
