Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a wellestablished healthcare focused notforprofit organization who is seeking an Accounting Systems & Budget Manager to join their team on a fulltime basis.
The position leads and maintains departmental financial systems ensuring data integrity and reporting requirements are met. The position researches advises and implements enhancements to current processes and systems to achieve operational goals and objectives. Position seeks to maximize the organizations return on its investment in systems to support the finance and accounting department through system maintenance feature implementation and end user training. Position performs direct line services related to and supervises staff assigned to technical support and maintenance of financial systems applications general ledger accounting production and interpretation of financial statements and budgets and identification design development and implementation of new and/or enhanced means of accumulating reporting and analyzing financial data.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Oversee and provide operational support and training for departmental financial systems.
Responsible for maintaining data integrity of reporting systems.
Develop and maintain process workflows and training material for all areas of assigned responsibility.
Research and share new features of financial systems and alternate solutions.
Coordinate system updates and lead testing for implementation of new functionality.
Responsible for financial systems troubleshooting.
Oversee and ensure an accurate and timely monthly quarterly and yearend accounting close and reporting process.
Supervise the production and distribution of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements and analytical reports.
Prepare and review appropriate journal entries account reconciliations and account analyses.
Analyze financial statements and explain variances as compared to budget and to prior periods.
Maintain the general ledger system.
Assist with the quarterly consolidation and annual audit.
Lead role in developing and supporting the annual budget process.
Lead ad hoc projects and work as part of a crossfunctional team.
Manage and develop assigned staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field and minimum of 3 years of relevant management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft or Sage products.
Excellent organization planning and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple and often changing priorities and issues of varying complexity while meeting timesensitive deadlines and deliverables.
Advanced Excel skills.
CPA with active status is a plus.
Healthcare experience is a plus.
Financial software implementation experience is a plus.
