This is a parttime position working up to 20 hours per week.

Summary/objective:

The Marketing and Communications Specialist will play a vital role in implementing communications strategies that elevate Warren Villages brand engage supporters and advance our mission. This parttime position offers flexible scheduling with some remote work considerations.

EssentialFunctionsand Responsibilities:

• Develop compelling content for our website social media platforms newsletters and print materials.
• Maintain consistent messaging and branding across all communications channels.
• Create and distribute regular email newsletters to our supporter base.
• Manage and grow our social media presence across platforms.
• Design simple graphics and visual content for campaigns and events.
• Assist with press releases and media relations.
• Track and analyze communications metrics to optimize engagement.
• Support fundraising campaigns with targeted messaging.
• Collaborate with program staff to tell impactful stories about our work.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates degree (AA) from a twoyear college or technical school in Business Marketing Communications or other related field; or 4 years of related experience

• Twoyears experience in marketing communications or related field.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Experience with social media management and content creation.
• Basic graphic design abilities (Canva proficiency sufficient).
• Familiarity with email marketing (Constant Contact).
• Experience with WordPress.

Work Environment:

The working environment is that of a typical office employee is occasionally exposed to the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

Physical Demands:

While performing the responsibilities of the position must constantly be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time; occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets office machinery etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator copy machine and computer printer. Frequently communicates information and ideas so others will understand; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Must have the ability to observe details at close range.
