Job Purpose
The Housekeeper is tasked with creating a clean and orderly environment for our guests that will become a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening our reputation. His/ her responsibilities will include performing a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping mopping dusting and polishing ensuring all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards protecting equipment and making sure there are no inadequacies.
Overall Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities and basic housekeeping duties such as sweeping mopping dusting cleaning and restocking toilet supplies vacuuming.
- Ensure all rooms and spaces assigned are cared for and inspected according to standards
- Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
- Notify CRM on any damages deficits and disturbances
- Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
- Monitor and report on the inventory of cleaning supplies and requisition when appropriate through the CRM
- Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any companyrelated practices including work shifts guest s possessions and privacy issues
- Report and return any guest properties found in the rooms while rendering service
- Clean disinfect and store all equipment at the end of the shift
- Maintain a positive relationship with employees and guests
- Monitor and report on the inventory of cleaning supplies
- Respond to calls for housekeeping problems such as spills and broken glass
- Assist with asset cleaning and management in common areas
- Perform detailed deep cleans when required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cleaner or Housekeeper
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
- Customeroriented and friendly
- Prioritization and time management skills
- Working quickly without compromising quality
- Knowledge of English language
- High school degree
