Job Description

The Louis Dreyfus Company Internship Program 2025 is a sixmonth program that provides students an opportunity to gain handson experience in commodity trading industry. The program is designed to equip interns with foundational knowledge and professional skills in one of the companys business platforms.

As a G&O Intern you will be introduced to and become an integral part of our Grains & Oilseeds Team. You will work with experienced professionals in G&O Team and interact with colleagues to gain insight into the commodity industry. You will be given the opportunity to collaborate with various stakeholders to develop your own sense of the working environment in the business platform.

Internship duration:

  • Between July to Dec 2025

Main Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the daily commercial and marketing discussion of the trading desk
  • Participate in the trading desk data management activity
  • Develop and strengthen the current research processes
  • Analyze and enhance the logisticsrelated flow

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science Data Science Economics Mathematics Statistics Information Systems Engineering or related field of study
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Python R for data manipulation visualization and dashboard development
    • Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and dashboard development
    • Willingness to learn software development best practices
    • Knowledge of data cleaning techniques and best practices
    • Interest in ETL processes data modelling warehousing
  • Analytical Mindset:
    • Ability to analyze complex data sets and derive meaningful insights
    • Strong problemsolving skills
    • Attention to detail
  • Communication Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders
  • Other Skills & Knowledge:
    • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
    • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks meet deadlines and propose solutions
    • Independent selfstarter who takes initiative and has a proactive attitude toward problems and issues
    • Possesses an entrepreneurial and humble mindset
    • Willingness to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
    • Interest and knowledge in Data Science Financial Modeling Research within agricultural commodity sector is a plus
