Job Description

Te Whiwhinga mahi The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity to appoint a Group Services Administrator to join our busy team on a fulltime permanent basis. We are looking for an experienced efficient and collaborative team member to fill this role. The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support within a Department in the Faculty of Engineering and Design. Ideally you will have relevant administrative experience in a similar role within a large and complex organisation. Your ability to build productive relationships with internal stakeholders while managing expectations will be key to your success in this role. Candidates with expert knowledge and experience of Student Services Online (SSO) the university LMS system (CANVAS) PeopleSoft SharePoint experience and proficiency in the Microsoft suite of packages will be strongly considered. Flexibility and collaboration will be key attributes of the successful candidate.

 

 Key accountabilities include:

  • Assist with the production of teaching materials and lecture handouts.
  • Support academic staff in the departmental management of postgraduate students.
  • Assist with the coordination of assessment and examination processes.
  • Confirm room requirements and staff availability timetabling and curriculum requirements.
  • Provide daytoday administrative support for teaching and learning activities workshops seminars and panels.
  • Liaise with internal and external personnel regarding organising a range of administrative requirements as travel events and communications
  • Provide administrative support as required for meetings support workshops seminars and panels for example related to faculty initiatives.
  • Provide projectrelated assistance and management of specific projects.
  • Work collaboratively to ensure continuous improvement and efficiency in Faculty and department administration processes.
  • Provide general administrative support as required by the Group Services Manager and Team Leader.

This is a fulltime 37.5 hours per week role on a permanent contract. The salary range is $50700 $55000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.
