Manager, Strategic Communications

Manager Strategic Communications is responsible for playing a handson role in developing coordinating and executing highquality communications for the CEO and Senior Management Team as well as for platforms like the CPP Investments Insights Institute. From speeches and presentations to white papers and opeds your work will influence how global stakeholdersfrom governments to investorsunderstand our vision values and longterm investment strategy.

Team Description

The Strategic Communications team is part of the Public Affairs and Communications department. We are responsible for advancing CPP Investments reputation and global presence through proactive messaging thought leadership executive visibility and stakeholder engagement. We collaborate across the organization to position CPP Investments as a global leader in longterm investing and a thoughtful contributor to conversations shaping capital markets.

Accountabilities:

• Research and draft highquality briefing notes speeches talking points and backgrounders to support the President & CEO and other senior leaders.
• Develop and execute long and shortform communications for external audiences including presentations white papers and articles.
• Collaborate with business teams and corporate partners on brand building efforts.
• Ideate and produce highimpact presentation materials for meetings conferences and investor engagements.
• Coordinate communications materials and logistics for senior executive interviews speaking opportunities and stakeholder events.
• Contribute to the Funds thought leadership through initiatives like the CPP Investments Insights Institute and CPP Investments CEO Energy Summit including amplification of published content.
• Ensure delivery of bestinclass materials with attention to detail quality and strategic alignment.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors or graduate degree in Public Policy Economics Journalism Political Science Finance or related field.
• 6 years of relevant experience in strategic communications public affairs research or consulting.
• Experience in financial services professional services government or a communications agency is considered an asset.
• Excellent writing and editorial skills; able to quickly synthesize information and draft highquality audienceappropriate content.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
• Highly proactive selfmotivated and comfortable working independently.
• Professional discretion and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word PowerPoint Outlook Excel). Experience with SharePoint Mailchimp or Salesforce is a plus.
• Familiarity with corporate use of LinkedIn and X (formerly Twitter) is an asset.
