Job Description

Harney District Hospital of Burns OR is looking to hire a fulltime Cook to work with our Dietary team to prepare meals snacks and other nourishment for patients staff and guests. Our Cooks assist with labeling food submitting grocery orders and maintaining clean orderly and secure work areas. JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of food preparation and handling techniques and food safety requirements basic math skills general record keeping methods ability to read and write in English language. Equivalent to a high school education or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the above duties.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/LICENSES: Must possess Oregon Foodhandlers card within 30 days of appointment.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS: Previous cooking experience in an institutional or similar environment. Possession of Oregon Foodhandlers card at time of appointment. Knowledge of basic computer skills or ability to learn.

WORK SCHEDULE

The position will work 40hours per week and may include weekends and evenings.
