Logistics Manager Cedar Rapids IASummary:The Logistics Manager has primary responsibility for managing rail logistics for the Cedar Rapids Production Complex. This position will interface with local railroads internal plant leaders and external plant teams to coordinate railcar movements in/out of the facility including raw materials finished products and processing aids. On average the site requires approx. 150 unique railcar moves coming in/out of the facility each day.
Specific Job Duties- Coordinate rail service plans for the complex by interfacing with both internal and external teams.
- Reconcile rail logistics plan with production actuals and updating supply chain forecasts daily
- Serves as the primary point of contact for all production departments and railroad providers.
- Develops and maintains positive working relationships with local railroading stakeholders
- Active participant with site security and rail safety teams
- Manages and communicates specific rail car billing and inventory plans
- Interface with multiple software systems and entering timely updates as needed.
Preferred Skills:- Previous rail/truck logistics coordination forecasting and planning
- Knowledge of safe railroad switching operations
- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders that have unique needs to develop a prioritized plan that fits overall business needs
Environment Recommend only focusing on lifting requirement of stairs/ladders and chemical type- Primarily Monday Friday weekend on duty required.
- Primarily Office based however time is required to be in the field/railyard daily

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Hourly and salaried nonexempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
