Job Description
Plant Specialist Boiler Systems
Location: Center North Dakota (35 miles from Bismarck)
Overview:
We are hiring a handson and detailoriented Plant Specialist to support boiler systems operations at a twounit coalfired power facility. This role focuses on technical execution maintenance coordination and system performance analysis.
Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate the preparation of construction drawings and specifications for plant equipment

Assist in the installation and troubleshooting of new and replacement boiler system components

Work with operations and maintenance to resolve system issues with engineered solutions
-
Monitor and manage boiler air heater and gas path maintenance activities
-
Track boiler operating conditions and report on performance
-
Participate in inspections and provide technical support for plant equipment
-
Assist in plant data analysis and suggest efficiency or safety improvements
-
Identify training needs and support capital and O&M project initiatives
-
Ensure work complies with current safety and environmental regulations

Maintain accurate system records files and documentation
-
Collaborate with consultants contractors and other departments as required
Qualifications:
-
Associate degree in a relevant technical field (required)
-
Welding background preferred
-
25 years of experience in a power plant or industrial setting (preferred)

Solid technical and troubleshooting skills
-
Strong communication and documentation abilities
-
Familiarity with plant safety practices and maintenance operations
