ABOUT THIS ROLE
This opportunity is for a Senior Front End Software Engineer for Audibles Consumer Domains group. We are the team that creates and powers Audibles applications components and services for our global listeners across Audible and Amazon web. We are the home for tech talent that wants to grow Audibles market leading business and build the sites and services (APIs) across desktop and mobile devices. The team is comprised of developers who work in an agile environment and partner closely with Audible and Amazon tech teams Product UX and QA teams.
We are embarking on a mission to reshape the fundamental experiences and delight our customers and drive a strong engineering culture. Its our responsibility to push Audible into new places; wherever our customers are listening. Achieving this vision means expanding and strengthening our development process and leveraging new technologies to deliver services and web applications.
This opportunity is to work as a Senior FrontEnd Engineer within Audibles engineering team. The team is building customer facing UI and design system for Audibles application. We need your help to develop and deliver on this vision. Success means we lay the foundation for continued expansion of our company without disrupting an already tremendously successful and muchloved project.
As a Senior FrontEnd Software Engineer you will...
Own and drive the overall frontend architecture and technical strategy within our platform: Envisioning designing creating and supporting our solutions that operate with a high degree of operational excellence
Partner with a crossfunctional team to imagine design develop test and launch software that wows our community and inspires our peers
Draw inspiration from the tools trends technologies and frameworks both industrywide and within Amazon and apply these in a meaningful way within our software
Collaborate to deliver the best technology solution responsible for frontend system design and support and mentoring of our developers
Be willing to explore business needs and learn unprompted. Bring problems AND solutions to the table
Constantly strive to raise the bar on engineering excellence
Lead the way staying up to date with tools trends technologies and frameworks both industrywide and within Amazon and then sharing that knowledge in a meaningful way with the community

Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
UI development skills with knowledge of: JS or Typescript or Angular or React
4 years of professional software development experience
Experience in problemsolving with experience in ambiguous situations
Experience in documentation unit testing code reviews test automation continuous integration & deployment
Experience in Agile development
Working knowledge of dependency injection operations/promises and modular development
Web Components and Design System development
Foundational knowledge of building large scale service and web applications in AWS or other cloudbased environments
Ability to think creatively and adapt messages to the audience
Prior use of AWS technologies at scale in a production
Problem solving skills; adaptable proactive and willing to take ownership
