Job Description

Position Overview:

Health Express Clinics is currently seeking a dynamic and customerfocused Medical Receptionist Virtual Assistant (PODIATRY EXPERIENCE) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical office administration excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fastpaced virtual environment. As a Medical Receptionist Virtual Assistant you will be responsible for providing topnotch administrative support to medical practices ensuring seamless coordination of patient appointments and inquiries.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients physicians and other healthcare professionals via phone email and online chat.

  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments ensuring accuracy and efficiency in appointment booking.

  • Manage patient registration process including verifying insurance information and updating patient records in electronic medical records (EMRs) or practice management software.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to patient inquiries and requests for information.

  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate communication of patient information and scheduling changes.

  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times.

  • Assist with administrative tasks such as billing inquiries insurance claims processing and medical records management.

  • Collaborate with other members of the virtual assistance team to provide comprehensive support to medical practices.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a virtual Medical Receptionist or similar role in a healthcare setting (Podiatry clinical setting)

  • Excellent customer service skills and a friendly professional demeanor.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMRs) or practice management software.

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.

  • Familiarity with medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures.

  • Technical Requirements

  • Operating System: Windows 10 Pro at 32/64bit *Genuine

  • CPU: Intel Core i5 8th gen and above or AMD equivalent

  • Memory: at least 8GB RAM

  • Power Backup (Power pack): Generator or UPS Preferred

  • Internet subscription/speed: At least 50 Mbps (DSL/Fiber only); LTE connection not accepted

  • Headset w/ mic (Recommended: Plantronics Audio 628 Stereo USB Headset)

  • Webcam: HD 720p/1080p (Recommended: A4Tech PK910H)

  • External monitor screen 1719 or 22 inch in size

Benefits:

  • Independent Contractor position

  • Compensation: $5/hr for the first 3 months and then $6/Hr afterwards.

  • CST/PST/EST work schedule.

  • HMO after 6 months of services
