Job Description

Christel House Indianapolis is currently seeking a PartTime ELL Instructional Assistant.
Hours: Monday Thursday 4:30p 8:00p
Requirements:
- Ability and willingness to work collaboratively; maintaining cooperative and effective working relationships.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Preffered: Associates degree with some training/exposure to education and teaching
- Competency in using technology
- Ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
- An agreement with the mission statement and goals of Christel House Schools.
Job Tasks:
- Assist students with assignments that reinforce learning concepts.
- Monitor individual and/or groups of students for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.
- Maintain a record of interventions and progress monitoring.
- Provide reteaching and tutoring sessions around core instruction that was delivered by the classroom teacher.
- Implement under the supervision of the teacher instructional programs and lesson plans for the purpose of presenting and/or reinforcing learning concepts.
- Attend meetings and inservice presentations for the purpose of acquiring and/or conveying information relative to job functions.
- Other duties assigned.
