The Role ...
You will be responsible for the execution of the project after the receipt of an order from a customer. You will independently control and monitor project design and engineering activities to ensure projects are delivered on time under budget and comply with the technical requirements of the customers purchase order and specifications.
You will serve as the technical lead for the execution and coordination of the project from conception through design development procurement manufacturing and testing.
You will be required to manage multiple discipline projects with limited supervision and demonstrate excellent project management and supervision skills to delegate tasks to associate project engineers.

- Be responsible for all aspects of the project scope to ensure technical requirements schedule and budget obligations are met
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of the project stages with various departments including design purchasing manufacturing testing and shipping
- Lead construction design reviews and weekly manufacturing status meetings
- Review customer purchase orders and technical specifications and research industry standards for custom design compliance
- Maintain scope control by identifying evaluating estimating and minimizing changes to the project
- Develop equipment designs that are safe functional reliable economical serviceable and marketable
- Generate all projectrelated technical documents datasheets procedures and manuals for internal direction and to satisfy customer submittal needs
- Create and maintain schedules to identify pitfalls and prioritize tasks
- Evaluate and critique drawings for completeness and to maximize productivity and reduce costs within the manufacturing processes
- Perform essential technical analysis and design calculations
- Select and specify components materials and purchased parts including writing procurement specifications for custom components
- Assess vendor proposal quotes for technical compliance and costeffectiveness
- Investigate and resolve manufacturing test and field problems as they arise
- Track and control material and labor spending against financial budgets
- Provide support for estimating equipment and technical development for bid proposals
- Interface effectively with people at all levels and from diverse technical backgrounds
- Have the ability to work with limited supervision to accomplish the project requirements
Were looking for ...
- A Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Chemical Nuclear Electrical Aerospace)
- A minimum of 2 years of Project Engineer experience in the design and manufacture of custom equipment.Experience with industrial design building codes and standards is strongly desired.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Web Applications and Engineering Programs(Autodesk Autodesk Inventor Math CAD)
- A selfstarter who demonstrates project ownership with an exceptional work ethic and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail

- There could be up to 10% domestic and/or international travel annually required.
