The Arab Veterinary Hospital team is looking for a growthminded Veterinary Assistant to join our team! If you have a passion for helping animals and their owners as well as a superb work ethic and a desire to learn wed love to talk with you! Experience is preferred however we will train the right person.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during appointments surgeries and other medical procedures
- Monitor patients before during and after procedures and record vital signs
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Collect and prepare laboratory samples for testing
- Perform dental cleanings and assist with other procedures as needed
- Clean and maintain medical equipment and exam rooms
- Provide exceptional customer service to our clients
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Entrylevel candidates welcome!
- 1 year of experience as a veterinary assistant or technician would be a plus
- Desire to learn and grow
- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
- Ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- This position can be highly physical so the ability to lift stoop bend and carry up to 50 pounds is a must.
